I take 40mgs a day, 10 will take the edge off and should help. Think positive with these and just go with it xx

It's better to accept the help, before it gets to bad, then a higher dose will be required. Speaking from experience accepting the help now has done you a big favour. Best of luck xxsmile

Things got really bad at Christmas, and went up to 30mgs, then moved up to 40mgs. It has helped me a lot. I'm also on hydroxide to help me sleep, buspirone 20 reducing to 15 mgs a day for the anxiety, and take the occasional diazapam depending on how bad it all is, and how I'm coping. I was advised to take escalopram at night too.

I take quite a lot at the moment, but have anxiety, depression and Ocd which is under control at the present time.

Miranda! I take escitalopram 5mg. They actually prescribed 10mg, but out of fear for overreacting to meds, I halted it. I have stayed at 5mgs since Oct 1 2015. Works perfectly. Takes about 2 weeks to get used to them. Hang in there. Takes 3-6 weeks for full effect. Don't give up and give them a fair try, I was scared too, but glad I did!

I am currently on that medication and it is working for me.  Give it time to work, may take up to 2-4 weeks to start working, as you have to build it up in your system.  It may take 6-8 weeks to full work. Hang in there.

I was like you, I didnt really want to take any medication at all. I only take about 2/3 paracetamol a year, thats how much I dont like taking tablets. I was on 10 to start which did take the edge off it but i'm now on 20. Ive been on them for about 8/9 months now and I'm really feeling the benefit. take care, chin up. x
