Escitalopram strange side effects

Posted , 2 users are following.

About 3 weeks ago, I ended up in the ER after having a severe panic attack and the doctor prescribed Citalopram. I had the WORST side effects the first couple of weeks and asked my doctor if I could switch to Escitalopram (which I've taken in the past). I'm on Day 5 of Escitalopram and I don't remember experiencing these side effects the first time I took it years ago. I get very tired, can't focus, brain fog is pretty bad, I get anxiety attacks and sort of feel disconnected to the world around me, kind of like derealization or a bad high. Has anyone had any experience with this/these? Perhaps the more uncommon side effects?
