hello all, i am 29 yrs old diagnosed with a fibroid of 8x10cm. I was prescribed Esmya before surgery. I am on 2nd week of Esmya. but i'm having an abnormal bleeding out of my usual period. Spotting, sometimes heavy bleeding with clots, sometimes none. Anyone have the same experience? If yes, did Esmya actually works for you? Fibroid reduce in size?

I've been on Fibristal (what they call it in Canada) for 4 weeks now and I have had quite a bit of spotting. My gynacologist assured me that it was normal. I don't know about heavy bleeding, though.
Reading through this site, it looks like everyone's experience with the drug is slightly different. My own fibroids are only about 1-3cm, but they are submucosal and bleed a lot! The drug stopped the dreaded gushes on my first period. I haven't got to the second period yet.
Side effects: headaches at first, and extreme fatigue. I'm booked for a hysteroscopy/myomectomy at the end of February and will be glad when it's all over.

Thank you for your reply. I almost done with the 2nd pack of Esmya (about 7weeks). I no longer experienced the symptoms ive mentioned above. No period yet so far with Esmya. I am so much relieved now. I really hope this drug will shrink my fibroid
