Esomeprazole? Proton Pump Inhibitor for GERD, anyone else get a bad Anxiety reaction?

Taking anti-anxiety medication and an SSrI, I was prescribed this medication Trustan/ Esomeprazole and it' sbeen bad.

Shaking hands, elevated heart rate, breakthrough anxiety 😦 the worst!

Anyone else can confirm i'm not crazy?

    Me! It took me over a year to figure out thats what its from. i stopped taking the proton pump inhibitors but i still have a little bit of anxiety. not near as bad tho. i wish i never started that drug

      Thanks for the reply! I am happy to know i was not imagining this. It is day 2 without it and i still feel some excess anxiety breaking through - hoping it will now ease off - it's been terrible. I can't believe the GP gave this to me after i explained i have an anxiety disorder. I'm assuming they dont know - which i think they should've. 😕

      i take medicine for anxiety and the dr gave me the same medicine and i had a horrible reaction also. i stopped it and those crazy feelings went away, but i need something to take but scared of what to take. what do you take for heartburn indigestion now??

      I have resorted to Gaviscon in liquid, luckily my hearburn isn't so bad.

      Also i found Buscopan Mint - it has peppermint oil in that helps with bloating.

      can i ask about your heartburn does it just come on for no apparent reason? last night i spent two hours at the gym after gym in car got the worst heartburn ever which lasted a good two hours. no idea what caused it but was in agony with it. ive also stopped the nexium and such like as i found lt made my anxiety far worse which resulted in a panic attack something ive never had before and dont want again.
