ESR

Hi,

My father is 80 now and has a swelling in both feet. When the blood was tested, the ESR was 70.

Can you please shed some light on it. Is it high? What are the side effects? Any remedies?

Thank you

ESR is an inflammation marker. 70 shows inflammation but isn't riddicoulosly high but higher than desirable however it does not tell you what part of the body is affected. Other tests need to run for this. I am not a doctor. Hope this helps.

Thank You Jenny. Give me a relief that it is not so high as thought so.

However, want some more insight on it.

      Thank you for your remarks.
