im a 41 year old woman and for the past 10 yrs my esr is rising and in last 6 months went from 54 to 72 my doctor is concerned.. ive had colònopsy 5 years ago xrays too all came back clear as of yeasterdsy since its gone to 72 my doctor wants more tests should i be worried....

go for crp test (c reactive protein) if that is high too then that means there is some kind of inflammation going on inside the body. Next step will be head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis CT scan to rule out if there is any swelling of lymph nodes.
