Essential Tremor. Australia.

hi.

in 2015 i started to notice my body would randomly tremor or twitch.

over the years, i have noticed it progress.

3 years ago the neorologist said it was anxiety.

1 year ago a new neurologist took me more seriously and tested further and said i have essential tremor and to monitor it for rest of my life.

i fear that its going to progess into multiple disorders such as parkinsons or huntingtons or dystonia etc.

as of april 2020 i experience random things in my body...

weekness, muscle rigidity,

loss of balance

disorientation in general

shaking or vibrating in random parts of my body, legs, feet, hands, head, back of eyes, feet.

i have certainly noticed my attention span and memory has declined over the years but i have not had any indepth tests to justify this.

i have had brain MRI and full entire spine MRI and numerous bloods and nothing had been of concern.

but clinical tests confirm my tremors and balance is an issue.

the minor head jerks are making my brain feel exhausted and creates very mild tension most days.

its ultra mild to outsiders but i can see and feel it when i'm leaning my head on lounge or pillow etc.

i have noticed the intensity and frequency and pace has very slowing increased over the years,,.

some weeks worse, other times not as bad.

id love to hear from other people who experience this and id like to know what ur progress has been... if your diagnoses gave changed over time etc.

please do not just speculate but rather, please share real life thoughts and experiences.

im yet to go back to neoro but i do know that im going to push for more tests . bloods and scans .

im in sydney australia.

id also love any suggestions of specific names of tests i could prompt my doctor neurologist to do please.

i think you should visit another doctors. search on google which ones are the best for your city and pay for a consultation. i had 22 doctors who told me i have nothing in me,,,,but lucky me i am not a person who listen to every doctor and believes what they are saying,,,so i kept searching and searching and sometimes the ones who goes on tv programs,,,the ones i call "the real experts ones" are the ones who discover what you have where others didnt. that was my case with the doctor number 22 and 23.

so what i have to say to the other 22 doctors, who told me that i might suffer from depression or entirety from stress? this: yes i did suffer from stress going from doctor to doctor paying loads of cash, to come back home with their medication accompanied with lobbies logos. i found later on the kind of stress i was suffering was called; frustration, yes, and caused by doctors.

please do go into another shores and try other doctors and you might have a different opinion. dont tell them what other doctors already discovered. only then you will know how good they are.

i had the same tremors in my head and the only way i could stop having them was if i took a zolpidem sleeping pills who usually tends to knock me out, even to a point of not knowing what am doing if am awake. went to hospital and they found nothing but latter on i discovered this with myself. i remember the guy from the pharmacy telling me this pills was to be taken only on S.O.S emergency. well, i was taking it every day since one of the doctors told me to do it so,,,,basically what i told myself was this: enough with sleeping pills or any other medication, if the pills or any other medication had some kind of side effects that could be damaging my brain, then, in this case i would stop taking them, and i mean,,, all of them. my body had to fight for itself and suddenly all the tremors stopped. but this was me. are you in medication?
