Estrogel

I started taking 2 pumps of Estrogel and a progesterone tablet 11 days ago. I am feeling so tired, is this normal? My main symptoms are loss of life’s joys and lack of motivation, low libido as well as mild flushes. I just want to get back to my usual energetic self & I can’t be bothered with anything at the moment. How long should it take to work?

The risks factors pointed out in the previous section were just that – potentially dangerous conditions that could occur as a result of receiving estrogen replacement. Side effects are entirely different, and at their worst, are typically just bothersome to the individual.

Total myth.  oestrogen is natural to us - just have to get the right form and strength to suit the individual.

It’s now 10 weeks since I started Estrogel and 100mg of oral progesterone. 6 weeks in I felt no benefit so contacted my Specialist who advised increasing the Estrogel to 2 pumps twice a day & continue with progesterone. The only benefit I feel is that I no longer have vaginal dryness, however I still have had no change to my low mood, lack of energy & low libido & now an additional symptom of nausea & grumbling stomach with poor appetite. Could the additional symptoms be caused by the increased does of Estrogel? I don’t go back to see the specialist until 27th Sept. Any idea of what might help me please?

Perhaps you need another form of oestradiol - e.g. patches, 2 per week.

Thank you, I was wondering if another type of oestrogen might be better for me. I'll ask her when I go to my next appt
