ETD cure?

I'm just curious. Does anyone ever get completely healed of ETD? I was given an antibiotic and an nasal spray. It is much better but I'm just wondering if my ear will ever be the same again!

I have exactly the same as you and I also am wondering if I will ever be completely better. On Friday I am seeing my friend (just socially) with whom I was at university and she is an expert on hearing problems. It is one of the questions I will be asking her. Let us hope that I will have something good to say to you on Friday.
Yours Rosie

I just wanted to write back to you about this as I seem to be having some immediate relief from my ETD with a nasal spray called Dymista, about 80% relief in 3 days.
I've had al the symptoms of ETD for 3 months, incuding the loud humming in one ear which apart from driving me insane, threatens my musical career. I saw 3 BUPA ENT "speacialists" who couldn't have been less helpful, shrugging shoulders, looking into my ear and saying it all looks ok, and ignoring the facts that my ear pressure, tinnitus and pressure, and post nasal drip al pointed towards ETD.
I finally went abraod and saw an ENT professor who took one look at my sinuses and said they are swollen and I should go home and get a CT scan, and the fibre camers which goes up the nose and looks at the Eustachian tubes, which I did with the helpful 4th BUPA speacialist. He prescribed the Dymista, and like I said, everything is at least 80% better after just a few days. I'm working again, the noise is hardly there today, although I did have good days i the past, any noise or music would start it all again and this doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
Time will tell if it goes away completely, but I've read so many forums with long term sufferers and bad ENTs, and it concerns me that a lot of people culd be missing out on a simple diagnosis and treatment.
