Eustachian tube blocked

Hi all

I've just been to my doctor about my ears as for the past 2-3 weeks I've have a fullness in my ears, slight ringing in my ears (I know it's there but not bad enough to stop my day to day life), and dizziness. The doctor had a look In my ear and said that I have slight blockage in my Eustachian tube. He says they are commonly caused by colds, allergies but I haven't had a cold just before this started and the only allergy I have it urticaria so I take piriton one a day every day. Is it possible I may have had a slight cold and not realised? I only had a baby 7 months ago maybe I've been run down since then or my ears haven't been right since labour? I just wondered if anyone else had had this and it didn't have an obvious cause? Did it resolve on it's own and how long did it take?

This happens a lot. It can be caused by an allergy or whatever justg as the doctgor said but it can also be connected to silent acid reflux. There has to be a cause.

I have suffered with heartburn for 3 years which I thought was gallstones but just had an ultrasound and no gallstones and all organs look normal. Still have the heartburn/indigestion on and off and sometimes acid in my throat. Perhaps that  could be causing it

Perhaps. In which case it sounds like reflux. And it needs to be dealt with otherwise not only do you get the blocked ears but maybe headaches, stuffed up nose and worse.
