My ears have been popping for just under a year now and it is really annoying. I've been to the doctors and been prescribed Nasonex spray which has not helped at all. At times my hearing is awful and I struggle to watch a tv show. Any help as to what I can do? I have read about balloon dilation. ?? Thx

Hi Clare,  Sorry to hear you are suffering. I have been to for the past 8 months. It all started with an ear infection, build up of ear wax which i then had syringed. However the syringing only made the tinnitus i got from my blocked eustachian tubes worse!

Ive been back to my doctor ample a few times and was recommended to steam my ears (Head over hot bowl of water) and gently breath in through the nose I tried this for 5 months! and feel it wasnt helping, also to use sudafed as this helps the synuses. However i am gradually getting recovering. I have increased my exercise to which i was recommended to do. it seems to be an ever lasting problem this ETD! There is light at the end of the tunnel though. As after 8-9 months of this torture i feel mine is clearing up. So you could try steaming and increase your exercise as the fresh air can help. It sounds basic but i do believe it has helped my ETD.

I Hope this was of some help to you.
