Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.. hopelessness.

In the beginning of January, I experienced my first ETD symptoms. I thought it was just ear wax since I have had to get ear wax removals in the past so with this I got my ears flushed because I had a flight in a few days. Prior to this, I had the flu and after the flu I caught a cold. It never seemed to end. And by the time I had my flight I was in sheer panic but couldn't cancel it. It was pretty brutal especially considering it was a layover but the next day of being at my destination, my ears seemed fine. It acted right back up again from an 8 hour drive and probably descending into a cave thousands of feet below ground. Didn't think much of it until the next day when I was dealing with the ear popping again, my whole right side of my face was hot to the touch. I was convinced I had an infection. With this I wanted to try everything before the flight back but didn't have much time. I tried the eustachi device which seemed to work a little bit, I tried Benadryl as well. I have a high sensitivity to caffeine or any stimulants so a decongestant on my vacation was not really an option. The flight back on January 21st wasn't the worst but it sure wasn't fun. It is now march and I still am having these issues. I thought it was TMJ, so I tried a night guard that seemed to make everything worse. I tried Benadryl. Antibiotics was also prescribed to me which seemed to help towards the end but it clogged back up again. I'm quite desperate. Yes I did go to the ENT and was diagnosed with ETD, my hearing is perfect and everything looks normal. I just cannot handle this ear popping. One thing I must mention, I went vegan about 6 months ago. I have mucus in my throat always.. I read soy is insanely mucus causing.
