EVENT monitor,help to understand?!

Hi! I’m having a event monitor for one week I’m on the 4th day, I called to ask how I am doing and they said everything looks good just my heart is a little fast! I was googling sinus tachardia & I’m just so scared because they say they might cause sudden cardiac arrest! I don’t know what to think 🤔

Your doctors never said that you had sinus tachardia. Stop googling things & self diagnosing yourself. When you called, they would be told you if you were at risk for sca. Calm down. Your just doing to make it beat faster. Take deep breaths. I had a monitor also so I know what your feeling but you don't need to worry about that if no one has ever said you had it.

They said my heart was fast which mean sinus tachardia as I understand! My heart when I rest is usual 70-90but as soon as I start moving goes 110 which drives me crazy! Before I had a holter monitor for 48 hr and they said is ok but how can be ok when my heart is as fast &can be fatal too

You’re probably fine. Stress will make your heart beat faster. Get some excercise and have the doctor give you peace of mind. They said your heart seemed good but you take the one negative and dwell on the beating kind of fast. I had worries about my heart with chest pains and stuff from anxiety but I wore the monitor, did stress tests, ekgs, etc... I’ve had heart rates as high as 193 when I was having panic attacks, went to the er and that’s all they said it was. I don’t know your age but you’re probably young enough not to need to worry too much.

I’m 28 also, been through it all. I assure you that your heart is fine. A very high percentage of people with heart issues are older and/or over weight. I have severe anxiety at times and health anxiety is a huge part. It’s hard to not let it get the best of me but im confident in telling you I’ve felt the same way had it all checked out and I was fine. I feel better knowing it. I felt better seeing other people feel the same way. Get in the gym it gives you heart health, overall health and gives your mind an excuse for your daily aches and pains. Supplements can help too... you’re gonna be fine. Hope you can accept that it’s just anxiety. I know it’s easier to give advice than to take it. But even I’m confident my heart is fine.

    Aria,

I am a nurse and you have nothing to worry about. Your heart rate is fine .   Please do not Google because a lot of that material is not accurate  depending on the source. . Fast heart rate due to anxiety will not hurt you. Sudden cardiac arrest is not brought on by a heart rate such as yours. That condition  happens in people who are already dealing with major health issues   or have some congenital defect. You only have a little elevated heart rate which millions of people have with anxiety including myself. You can actually reduce your heart rate by relaxing your mind. The more you stress out the higher the rate will be. Do some slow deep breathing and listen to meditations on YouTube for anxiety.  They completely relax my mind and my symptoms go away. You were just a little over anxious. A little elevated heart rate is perfectly fine. Do things that relax you like being with family and friends, listening to music, meditations, going for a walk‘s etc. If you are dealing with a lot of anxiety, speaking with a counselor is very helpful. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸😁👍

Thank you so much for your reply! Is just a peace of mind for me! They just told me looks ok but a little fast but I don’t know the boundaries of how fast it is! So my condition is sinus tachardia? I’m confused! 😊

Basically, sinus tachycardia is a harmless faster rhythm.  It’s a normal increase that happens with excitement, exercise, fever, etc.     so yours is brought on by anxiety which is the same as excitement. When I exercise for instants, my heart rate can go up to 130 bpm.   Athletes heart rates go up higher than mine! But that is a normal increase just like yours is.  Your higher heart rate is not permanent because it’s caused by anxiety. So you can actually bring it down by relaxing, meditation, slow deep breathing etc. You are absolutely fine! 😁??

I've been to the ER a million times for ECGs. It's been 8 years. At year 4 or 5, i learnt to accept that palpitations are always going to be there for us who have anxiety - we're more sensitive to everything and the minute we get anxious, we're going to feel everything.

You don't need a monitor. You don't need the ER. I try to use logic in these circumstances, and then I need to believe my deductions. For example: if you have no family history of heart conditions, and you take an average of your parents' ages before they had high blood pressure or anything like that, if they even have that, then that's probably the age you'll get anything, if anything at all.

At our ages (I'm 34), we need to just accept that it's anxiety and distract ourselves.

    Hope that helps!

Same here I don’t even remember how many times I’ve been to er&doctors ! I don’t have a family history of heart disease,I’m not overweight, don’t drink or smoke ,so no much risk factors, but is tricky because the simptoms are still there! You too get fast hr, who fast goes your heart during exercise? Thank you for reply

would you like to know heart rate or blood pressure?

when i get on the treadmill for a 30-min, for the first few weeks my heart rate fluctuates between 160-170bpm. once i finish jogging, heart rate will settle between 90-110bpm.

after a few weeks though, as my body gets used to it, a 30-min jog on the treadmill, my heart rate is between 140-150bpm. after jogging will be about 90-110bpm.

blood pressure when im anxious is always about 120-130 / 75-80. This is considered normal because its not resting blood pressure. my normal blood pressure is about 110/70, and if im exercising regularly, ive seen it be 100/60 which is what i wish it was most of the time.

Which country are you from? I'm from Singapore.

      Cheers!

If you are anxious it will show as a faster heart beat. The machine will pick that up.

Relax you are being monitored, you need a accurate result and the unit can do that, three days to go. Relax
