Evorel Conti patches

Hi ladies, last night I started on my first patch. Has anyone any tips on how long it will be before I feel any benefits, or how I'll feel as my body begins to adjust (I've already been nauseous this morning!) I've been through a real bad spell for the last 6 months, I've been posting on both the menopause and knee problems forum (had new plastic knee cap and metal trochlea in March this year). I know I was menopausal before my op (my last period June 2014, and I was suffering hot sweats), but stress and trauma over the last 6 months seems to have tipped me over the menopause precipice! GP wanted to give me anti depressants, sertraline, but I knew I was menopausal depressed, not depressed from depression. GP was also reluctant to prescribe HRT as I suffer from migraines about 3/4 times a year, so I've had to wait to see a menopausal consultant (who happened to be a man, but he so put my mind at rest and confirmed I wasn't actually going insane lol!). Any guidance would be appreciated!

If you are not using oestradiol and you find your hrt does not agree with you, ask for the oestradiol based hrt, e.g. estraderm MX 100, There is also a oestradiol daily gel, vaginal cream (good for outside bits) and vagifem pessaries. I used the 15? strength but they have reduced it to 10 - so use more often.
I have been using oestradiol (it is bio identical) as implants first (then they stopped making them), then patches + supplementing with the skin gel when the patch does not last long enough, plus the cream and pessary for 25 years. Miracle stuff!
Happy hrt!

You might feel a surge (like breastfeeding feeling) in your breasts, which is an indication that the oestrogen is kicking in.
