Evorel patches

This morning I had to take off my patch because my "period"pains got unbearable, like stabbing pain in my lower abdomen. Don't know what to do now. I can't contact my doctor because I'm at work..I'm not sure about HRT anymore...

Elena how long have you been using Evorel (I have been on the patches for 14 years) If you are new to them, then it is one of the side effects of Conti.

Spotting is perfectly normal for the first few months.. If you prepare your skin wash and dry well.. then hold the patch in place firmly for a few seconds. I put mine on my outer thigh and they stick ok.. to get the sticky bits off after you taken them off, use a little baby oil on cotton wool and rub gently. The spotting and 'period' pains are common I'm afraid, but rest assured it will settle down. The side effects are worth it when you start to feel better smile Take some painkillers and they will subside.

Hi, sorry to hear you are having problems with the Evorel. I am 66 now and been on them for over a year after suffering flushes and no help from doctors!! Now fine & no side effects. Maybe you need diferent one. Don't give up yet.
