Very excited to have finally started taking Orlistat today (had problems getting my scrip due to manufacturers delay  ). Have slight stomach ache but worried I am imagining it.... hmmm watch this space.

How long before people started seeing results or having side effects?!

    Hey,

I didnt notice anything much for the first week, a little bloating and wind was all. Then after that came a huge weight loss (1 stone in 10 days) and mild orangey toilet experiences. I stuck to the suggested fat intake per meal (10-15g), so dont know if being good had no bad effects on loo trips. Good luck on your bluey journey and hopefully if you eat healthily you probably wont notice any icky side effects. smile

Sorry, forgot to ask. How long did you have to wait to get your tabs cos of the delay?

I went to several pharmacies last week to be told that there was no orlistat in stock and that it could not be ordered due to manufacturer delay and they had no idea when they could expect anymore. Apparently, they have been concentrating on the production of alli to meet demands and orlistat has taken a back seat. I was initially told that I would just have to patient and wait (which was slightly infuriating as I had to wait so long to get the perscription in the first place!!) but on the off chance I enquired in Boots on Saturday and they had just had a delivery :D

Well done on your weight loss - I am hoping to see the dial on the scales move in the right direction in the not so distant future :D

Started with Orlistat a week ago. BMI is 35 approx. No bad side affects although using the loo more. No weight change yet too early. Watch this space.

Pleased to hear you've not had any bad side effects in your first week. smile

I started my tabs today as I have a couple days off from uni placement and can stay in close proximity of a toilet - just incase!

    Good luck x
