Excruciating pain ovarian cysts

Posted , 4 users are following.

It has been about two months that my belly popped out (looks like when I was 7months pregnant now). It never goes down even when I lay in my back. I have been to the ER 4 times. There I have had a regular ultrasound and transvaginal and saw two ovarian cyst. One in each ovary. One is a size of a walnut and the other a little bigger. (I don't remember the actual sizes). One Dr. said it was hemmorragic cysts and the last doctor said they were corpus luteum, I also had a UTI and prescribed antibiotics. I feel pressure (heaviness) in my pelvic bones. I can't sleep to well at night since I feel like I'm laying on something (if I lay side ways), but my back has always hurt to sleep on it. I have not even attempt to sleep on my stomach as I know that is not a good idea with the big belly. I am freaking out because I have no medical insurance (lost my job) cannot walk normally, when I tried to do my regular stuff I end up with a lot of pain. Can ovarian cyst like this cause all of this pain heaviness and bloating? Could it be endeomitrosis? Or something worst? Im 29 about to be 30yrs old in a month. Thanks for reading any advice or comments are appreciated.sorry so long. I'm in the USA.

    Hey there.

Your symptoms are v similar to what I had. I always felt bloated and sluggish. My belly was like a wee mountain when I lay Down it never went flat ever!! I'm not an overly Healy person I'm 5ft 6 and now 9.7 stone.

I was pregnant last year which ended in miscarriage and when got the scans they referred that I had a huge bladder but in actual fact I got pregnant again went for my ultrasound and of course it was an ovarian cyst the entire time. I've had it for years. Had to have the surgery whilst pregnant and it was all ok baby and all survived. It's only now baby is born I feel ten difference my shape has totally changed. My cyst weighted 12lb . It was terrible. I felt bloated, heavy, sluggish for years and that's what it was all along so trust ur instinct and keep asking to be checked.

    Hiya Dayanara

I'm not sure about the pain heaviness or bloating as I didn't suffer with any of those symptoms , I never even knew mine was there till i had a freak period where I was bleeding heavy for 10days . I went to the dr and they sent me for scans which is when they found the 12cm cyst.

They said because mine was so big it could twist and if it did that then I would get pain.

I asked him why I hadn't felt the cyst with it being so big and he said that your pelvis area is like a bucket so you are not forced to feel it it can just be sitting inside the pelvic area.

I'm so sad to hear how much you are struggling, get onto another Doctor or gynaecologist can get to the cause ,you can't go on like that!!!

    Stay strong Hun!!

    Hope you can get sorted!!

Thanks Hannah! I really need the encouragement. Wow your cyst was pretty big compared to the ones the doctors are seeing in me. I'm happy you are okay and was able to figure out before it caused you any more trouble.

One thing though which I have just remembered ,the doctor at my surgery had told me when they got the scan results back that I had a thickening of the lining in my womb and that I looked to have a small cyst , 1-2cm.

So when I went to see the gynaecologist that's what I expected him to tell me. When he drew it on the paper I was nearly sick , it was a shock the doctor had told me one thing and the specialist a complete other . So it's well worth getting specialists involved ,and more opinions the better !!

My cyst was 23x27cm so I looked ready to have a baby lol!!! And to think now I was palmed off all the time for years getting told I had ibs it really does make me mad when I think back. So it was a pretty big one. I wasn't able to have keyhole surgery but it was much too big to not get out or baby would have died as had no room to grow

Thanks Hannah!! Must do is a great master!!! I am terrible at anything like that I can't even get my bloods done. I passed out getting the pre op ones. But when you have to go threw the surgery I just somehow got there and recovered quite well. When they drew mine out I honestly didn't know how it was fitting in there. It was bigger than an inflated rugby ball so not the nicest. Like yes I had a sticky out belly but was still wearing size 10 clothes but it was my shape was terrible it was for years and to think you just get told anything to get rid of you. Like that may have been the cause of loosing my first pregnancy but I can't think that way I'm lucky to be over the surgery and have my healthy baby. Just hope the other ovary is ok and will allow me more children. Mind you my labour was a bad one!! I don't get things easy!!! Lol but others are worse so I just try my best to get on with it.

I'm the same way Janine, sometimes I think that I don't get things easy. But then I give it a good thought and I as well think other people have it worst and they are strong or find courage to be. I'm sorry about your first pregnancy but I'm truly happy that you had a second chance. God bless.
