Hello all. My work colleagues all joining a pilates class and want me to come too. Not been to one before. Do you think would be ok now I'm 12 weeks post op? I've been signed off from hospital as recovered and feel fine but don't want to do anything wrong!

Hi. I asked my doctor before I went to Pilates. I was 16 weeks before I went. It was great. I really enjoy it. Just take it easy and make sure the instructor knows you have had a hysterectomy

    Enjoy

      Hi Marketa

How are you feeling after your op? I remember you were really apprehensive about it. You ok?

      Hi Jo,

I am so glad I did it! I had a rough 9days after, but feeling great now!

Getting a little bored at home, I am organizing everything! Lol.

Ha ha.. Yes, it gets a little tedious and very boring doing nothing!

Carry on with the organising. X

I have had dizziness for the last 3days while walking. I checked my BP today and it is fine, but my pulse was 115. Has anyone had that? This is my 3rd week post op.

I felt worse at week three and had a few dizzy spells. Still do. Did you have ovaries removed too as I've been told it's my loss of estrogen. Check with Gp if it doesn't stop x

I kept my ovaries. I feel otherwise fine, just minor discomfort. The dizziness bothers me.

If it persists I will call my doctor.

      Thank you.

    Hi

I am nearly 6 weeks post op and the gynaecologist said I could resume gentle exercise after 6. Just take it easy, ... But have fun.

Thank you all 😀 I feel fine. Really my worse symptom from losing ovaries too is lack of sleep (on 3 to 4 hours a night but am getting used to that) and weight gain from steroids but no pain so think healed well. I'll let instructor know and stop if anything hurts.
