Exercises ,Sports after THR

Hello Hippies ,

I had my THR 9 weeks ago and i put so much weight on , as I’m not moving how i used to .I'm working in the shop so plenty of walking around , exercises, deliveries  and e.g. ... Plus i used to do exercises at home ,like weights on my legs , abs machine , stepper , weights , stretches .

And now nothing apart exercises like leg lifts and walking. I went to swimming pool , but I can’t go there every day .Also I know I won’t be back to work until middle or end of august .

Does  anyone knows what exercise can I do? Can I use abs machine or stepper?

Im 26 years old.

I use a step thing ..just a static one and try to do 2x50 a day ..really helped with the stairs.....also bought a cross trainer but one with a seat so I can use it like a bike...

i put.a stone on in the 12 weeks before i went back to work but have lost 2 stone since with Exante diet....really helps the other hip which will need doing at some point....where are you??

I have actual stepper , so you think it's safe to use?

I put about the same I would say ,I don't have scales, but by the tight clothing and sticking out belly im guessing must be a  stone or so smile

For me another 3-4weeks before I can come back to work , so i might  put one more stone lol. No, I'm joking from tomorrow I'm on diet .

Never heard of Exante diet ,is difficult?

      Im in London

I'd be careful with the stepper but you'll know if you do too much ...physio gave me resistance bands for strengthening exercises too. Look up Exante on the internet ..its shakes, soups, bars, meals and other things...you're allowed any 3 a day and dtink plenty of water...its the cheapest one of this type and it works!  if you decide to do it message me as I have a code for a friend! Just need the willpower! I've lost 2 stone in 8 weeks! They have a Facebook page too for advice and support.

      Good luck...

I will definetly check it out .like i said i started my diet today , having a watermelon for my dinner smile

i have the resistance bands too but i dont think that's helping me to burn enough calories . I will see how the stepper goes maybeif its set  not too tight ,i can handle it.

      Thank You

      Take care

Hi Karolina- i cant advise on any specific exercise you can do, but i know that exercising with the goal to lose weight is generally unsuccessful without a serious diet plan to go with it. I do juice fasting occassionally (about twice a year) and it absolutely helps to maintain my weight in a proper range. It takes discipline, but trust me, you can do it if you try. It takes some investment in a good juicer machine and fresh fruit, but once you do it and see the results you will become a "juicer" for life. Look into it, there are plenty of websites that go into it in detail. You'll feel good doing it (once you get over the initial shock of no caffeine if youre a coffee person) and you can drop 1 pound per day. Good luck.
