Experience with sertraline

Did anyone experience extreme bad breath while taking this antidepressant? I was on it for six days and I don't want to scare anyone but I had a really bad reaction to it, by the sixth day it was clear it was poisoning my body! I had a red rash on my hands, my teeth chattered constantly, my breath literally smelled worse than death, I had severe insomnia, and I started to sink into a depression worse and deeper than anything I've ever known. I felt like I was literally going insane! I spent three days in a clinic getting off of it, I had a horrible experience with it to say the least, darkest time of my whole life. Don't let my experience scare you out of trying it though, it worked wonders for my grandma, it just wasn't right for my body system, we are all different. Did anyone else experience any of that though? Its far more on the rare side, so don't let it freak you out if you need to take it, it could really help you. It just was wrong for me.

I definitely feel way better now. That was in mid January and it was not a fun time, my body wasn't having that medicine. Now I do weekly therapy but I'm not on any medicine and I'm actually doing really good. I get down depending on fluctuating hormones from my period (I'm very sensitive to that and think I have PMDD) other than that, doing great! Thank you for asking! Hope all is well for both of you!

Yes I lost over a stone and it was such a struggle to eat, but I managed small snacks every four hours. You must eat as this is so important for the anxiety,it gets worse if you don't.I have only recently got my appetite back but I keep wanting to eat all the time now so the weight is going back on soI have to be disciplined now as to how much I do eat.Of course if you up your dose then you will still be struggling with side effects. Let me know how you get on, xx
