I had my external fixation removed today. Some of the gause they covered the wounds with are bloody one soaked. I was told not to change them for 2 weeks wile in 90 degree angle boot. Has anyone else been told this. they told me to call if signs of infection. i also have a wound where the bone almost popped out that is not all the way healed. this scares me.

I would notify the surgeons office regarding your concerns about the bloody gauze and all your other concerns. You are your own best advocate. Do not think you are bothering the staff. Remember they work for you. PS this is coming from a nurse. Good luck.
