Like your doctor said. It is just the way you were made. If it does not bother you leave it alone just keep it clean. You can have it cut off but that can cause you more problem.

Just relax...Ken Your good to go

      Good morning.

      What I and Wee_Dugie

Are telling you are that you are fine. Remember the penis is skin and a men that is not circumcised has it a little more rough. If I can say it that way. Most of the time the head of the penis is covered. You have to make sure you clean it everyday or sometimes more.

Do use warm water and pat dry. You should never be rough with your friend. Your going to need him for a long time.

      Take care and just relax......Ken

I agree with Kenneth1955, this is just a variation in the way your penis has grown. It will not be this that is causing the smell, as all penises have a certain degree of smell.

There are several major things going on with regard to smell, there are naturally present bacteria on the head of your penis, (for those uncircumcised, there are oily secretions present too) controlling the remnants of urine from the meatus (pee-hole) and surrounding foreskin and head of the penis is a major issue to get right. Then there are dead skin cells that can build-up (problematic smegma) and can become a major issue if hygiene practices for controlling urine and ejaculate are not routinely dealt with.

Simply, get your penile hygiene right and odour should at least be controlled. After urinating expose the entire glans / head and wash it and your surrounding foreskin carefully with water only. Then make sure it is completely dry. If you are out and about and cannot wash, use a piece of toilet tissue to remove any last remnants of urine from around the meatus and surrounding skin. If you are sexually aroused or have ejaculate secretions, make sure you expose the head of your penis and clean all of this away from everywhere on the glans itself as well as on the foreskin before the foreskin covers the entire head of the penis again. Again, use warm water and rub gently with the inside of your hand only, then dry completely.

By doing all of these things, you will at least be able to prevent a build-up of the issues that can cause odour and poor penile hygiene ....
