Extreme fear of fever - body temperature, please help

Hello guys...
To start I have to say that I have been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and Im currently on Zoloft (50mg/day).
I have been really obsessed about my body temperature, every day for the last 3 months give or take... I check my temp with an electronic thermometer every hour if I'm feeling the slightest "disturbance".
Also I read that taking your temp from your armpit is actually off by 0,5 C which means if the thermometer says 37,2 it's actually 37,7.
Anyway, my temp is always around 36,2-37,5 and it's driving me insane. I am so worried that I will be sick and that I will have to take time off which may cause me to lose my job...
Right now it's 37,5 (which means 38) and I cant even move my head...
What should I do?

My smxiety st worst made me obsess over everything. You've started checking temp and now can't stop it drives you mad but you feel you'll go mad if you don't keep taking it. Your body and temp will be sky high because your anxious . My anxiety makes me heat up. Even sweat like mad when I panic or overthink. Also have high blood pressure/anxiety which raises temp. Would say definite anxiety and the constant checking is obsessive. (OCD) . Don't feel foolish .great you've asked for advice. Lots will know these symptoms. Docs advice may help if you explain as above. Or therapy to help stop the obsessive checking change the negative thoughts. Lots of good advice out here??

mike i thought i was leading a "normal" life with the usual everyday worries. unfortunately, i got caught in this cycle of overworking myself to prove my worth along with juggling two jobs. all the behaviorial changes went unnoticed. likewise, subtle physical symptoms started to creep in. one of them was feeling warm in the head as if i was running a fever. my ears felt like they were burning. yet, i'd go check my temp and it would always read normal...but would vary slightly; 98.1F...97.9...98.4 and so on.
likewise, i have generalized anxiety disorder. it's as if my energy was being slowly sucked away. i'd take a 2 hr nap and would wake up feeling extremely tired. i started passing out early in the evenings...i couldn't stay up for movies with the wife. my sleep pattern is erratic so i figured it was the cause. then, the scary symptoms started to creep in. the dizziness, heart palpitations, tremors...felt like my skin was vibrating. what felt like hot and cold skin. muscle aches and cramps. workout intolerance. it seemed sudden...all these scary symptoms and i rushed to the doctor. now...almost 2 and a half years later i'm still struggling daily. i appear normal to others, but it's a daily battle. my legs constantly feel weak and rubbery. the body wide muscle twitching...and so on.
i've had autoimmune tests done, MRIs, syphilis test(for late stage), lyme disease...etc... the only abnormal result was slightly low vitamin D. otherwise, healthy as could be on paper yet living a daily nightmare regarding physical symptoms.
my doctor told me...once the prominent symptoms of GAD present they simply just don't go away. it's a process to heal. obviously, i'm still struggling. anyway, good luck.

Let me give you an example...
It's really hot right now, I don't have any A/C or even a fan and I am sweating like crazy... My thermometer says 37,2 (which means 37,7)... Is it because I am sick or because of the heat? How can I know?

You don't have to be sick. If I feel anxious my blood pressure goes up and I'm boiling . Could b this???
