Extreme Nausea & Vertigo for 3 weeks, any advice?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I've had really bad Nausea and Vertigo for three weeks now, not only that but I'm now getting daily headaches (sometimes dull, sometimes pressure) and also a high pitched noise in my ear (sounds like fizzy drink, kind of)

I'm struggling to sleep because it seems to get worse when I lay down at night ( The vertigo and Nausea, I also get rapid heart beat to where I feel it through my body)

I just don't feel right at all. I've been to the emergency doctors twice. The first time they did all the checks (looking in ears, blood pressure ect) they said everything was fine apart from my heart rate being a little high. They gave me some Nausea tablets and told me to return if I don't get better. 2 weeks later, I returned. They did the same checks again, said everything was fine except the heart rate again, said it's probably just stress and gave me a different type of tablet (betahistine). I'm really down because it's been three weeks of this, every single day no rest and I still don't know what's wrong with me! I was hoping to get a diagnosis or more tests at the least! sorry for such a long text, thank you if you read this far. Just wanting to know if anyone else can relate and if you got diagnosed?

Thank you again.

also tonight the noise in my ears is getting really bad. one ear will get really loud for about 20 seconds, it almost feels like it goes slightly deaf when that happens. Really worried 😕

for this, ask your doctor about a referral to one. This sounds like and inner ear infection. That will cause you dizziness and vertigo. Do you have a family doctor you can go to? Emergency rooms are not all that good at really finding what the problem is. They give you their best guess and send you home with no valid answers. Been there done that. Please make an immediate appointment with your family doctor and tell him everything, and demand answers. Two weeks is to long for this to be going on with no change in your problem. You may need to see an Ear , Nose and Throat specialist . Healing and Blessings to you.

Sorry something went wrong when I sent the reply. This sounds like and inner ear infection and that will cause dizziness, headaches and vertigo. ER doctors just give you their best guess, a few pills and send you home. If you have a family doctor it is time to immediately make an appointment and tell them everything including what the ER doctors said. You have had this problem to long without any apparent signs of relief. Do not go back to the ER. Your doctor may refer you to a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to check the problem out. Demand answers and stay determined to do battle if they tell you nothing is wrong. God Bless and Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply and sorry mine may be late! I didn't realise anyone had responded to my post!

The emergency doctors I went to was actually at my normal doctors, both appointments were just classed as emergency. Both visits weren't helpful, but booked for a different doctor this week so fingers crossed I actually get somewhere this time! Thank you again and blessings to you too!

Sounds like dehydration. Drink a few glasses of water throughout each day.
