Extreme vaginal atrophy

I have been dealing with VA for a couple of years. I have tried all usual treatments to no avail. I am now on compounded Estriol and Testosterone twice a day. I also use Clobetasol a couple of times a week. I am thinking about a new procedure called Mona Lisa Touch. Has anyone heard of it or been treated with it and if so did it help.

It's a laser treatment that has been in the US for about a year and the reviews have been amazing. It's expensive and not covered by insurance so I'm interested in talking to someone that has had it.

I have read a comment on the forum from someone who has had it.Hopefully they will see this and comment.I told my gynocoligist and she has never heard of it.I hope it becomes a nationwide treatment.

Samantha, I'm so happy that it helped you. I am seriously thinking about it in the next couple of months. I would love to know how your next treatment goes.

Thanks for this interesting thread.  I guess some of you here are actually talking about treatment in places (USA?) other than UK? I shall certainly mention this treatment to my gynaec when I next see her but suspect it would only be available here as private treatment. Thanks again

Hillary, yes I'll update in January. It takes 2-4 weeks for results to start showing and I'm happy so far, it's been 2-3 weeks.

Mary, I think it may be available in private practice but I'm not sure. I'm lucky as I can get this outside of UK at no charge.

Yes my husband works overseas and when I visit I'm entitled to free medical care in the country through work.

I too have extreme VA Hilary. Am trying to stretch with dilators and use estrogen topically and in pessary form. I am in the UK. If some kind of laser treatment works for this aspect of LS then I'd travel anywhere as this would be a huge game-changer.

Hope more people comment with success stories!

Angie, I have my first appointment set up for the 15th. I will let you know how it goes. If you look up Mona Lisa Touch it will tell you if it's available in the UK.
