Eye concerns due to toxic vapours in eyes.

06 months ago i got lithium ion battery fumes in my eyes. I ended up with severe red eyes a few days later, which stayed this way for months.

I went for a check up instantly but no damage could be found. Now i have flashing lights and sometimes see straight lines as slightly distorted, i also see light trails. I went to see an Opthomologist and he said he couldn't see anything that would be of concern.

Ive read that the fumes can cause sever sensitivity, I'm scared one morning I'm going to wake up blind.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Flashings and floaters are often associated with a retina issue, such as its vitreous coating peeling off or pulling on it. I'd immediately get a second opinion from a different doctor. You want to avoid experiencing a detached retina. Did the ophthalmologist only dilate you and look inside your eye with a bright light? Did he also hook you up to newer, more advanced equipment and take digital images? I'm glad my eye doctor has and uses the latest equipment. He also shows me the digital images of my eye's interior and explains to me what they tell him. Hope you get your issues resolved.

ive had a detailed 3d image taken of the retina, plus a scan of my eye at the opticians. My retina isn't detached, nor does it have any tears. Theres no disease such as macular degeneration, and they can't see any damage. Im just wondering if ive perhaps sensitized the eye and the retina, as i know the chemicals from the phone battery can do that.
