I wouldnt worry too much. This happens all the time, as patients accidently touch their eyeballs. Just discard the drops 28 days after being opened and take care not to do it in future. If you think you are developing an eye infection then obviously contact your doctor but I think its unlikely if you are normally careful and clean. You should wash your hands before giving yourself the drops, but we dont live in an ideal world.

Minor mishaps like this happen all the time. Dont worry.

thanks marina. i think the drops may have caused a bit of blurring this morning in one of my eyes which has an advanced cataract which will be removed in march. but just now i used hylo forte drops and they've made a difference. maybe my eye had dried out. i used the glaucoma drops at 9.30 so it should be ok to have instilled hylo forte now .. feels a lot better . With the cataract, i dont need reading glasses. thanks again marina. cheers Kevin...im also an insulin dependent diabetic, injecting twice daily. humalog mix 75/25.
