eye dryness,irritation and redness

my eyes are red all the time .it burns most of the time.i have been using refresh tears to lubricate my eyes but it ain't doing well. my eyes are not clear even after waking up in the morning.please get me through this problem

    please try to avoid rubbing your eyes.

    it might be a good idea to go and see an optician, as they will be able to tell you if it is something that will get better or if you need to see a doctor for more help.

    hope that it clears up soon.

      i dont rub my eyes.i think the problem is that i spent many hours in front of computer.actually doctor recommended me the eye drop "refresh tears" but it is not very much effective.which eyes drop is good.thank you

      ah yes, computers. i had that problem once, but not as severe as your sounds. did your doctor also tell you to take a break every 15-20 minutes and stop looking at the screen?

      also, somehow to remember to blink - becasue apparently when we look at a screen our eyes stay open without blinked for longer than they should and that is how they dry out.

      sorry - i don't know which eye drops to recommend to you instead of those that your doctor told you about.

    Hello my eyes have been red since April, I have been back and fro to the hospital as they think it's allergic conjunctivis and have been on steriod drops which works wonders, have to start weaning them off now and waiting for an allergy test. I would make an appointment through your optician to get seen by a specialist. Do your eyes water at all as well.
