Eye lid - what is it?

Just at the start of lock down I had a small lump appear on my lower eyelid, it didn't hurt only when it was touched. After 3/4 weeks it seemed to burst and is now like a flat balloon but shows no sign of disappearing therefore i have had this thing for nearly 4 months, it is very sore to touch and some times the eye weep and feels as if it is also sore.

Any ideas as to what it is and any possible home treatment.

I have been tempted to cut it off with pair of scissors, but don't think that is a good idea!!

    It looks to me to be a stye that has popped. Cysts can also happen on the eyelid but they would not be painful. Putting a warm wash cloth on it should help with some pain and to clean it a bit. You can also use a very mild soap if you want. If you keep it clean and use the compresses it should get better within a few days. If it doesn't I would see your eye doctor and they might recommend an antibiotic ointment.
