Eye pain in both eyes for 3 months

Hello!
I overused the computer and ended up with pain in both eyes like 3 months ago, I thought that the fatigue would go away but it got worse and worse, I rested for like a month screen free, quite literally, and still when I came back the pain quickly reappeared after a couple of days using the computer 4-5 hours every day, I visited 3 ophthalmologists and they all said that all I have is dry-eye, and prescribed me artificial tears that are doing nothing, currently using conservative free tears every hour and the pain is not going away by any means, at the end of the day is just impossible for me to see a computer screen, needing to close my eyes due to the intense pain so it is really affecting my performance at job.
what else could it be?
what else could I try to get some relief of the symptoms?
I am drinking a lot of water and eating omegas-3, good diet and I am somehow still healthy 26y/o, no smoking, no drugs, not exposure to wind or heat environments, current I am mostly at home resting but I am going to start a new job soon and I am just not able to do it like this.
Thanks for the help.

I had similar issues with my eyes. Two years ago I started a different job that requires me to use a computer for most of the day under florescent lights. I had tired eyes, tight eye muscles and it would not go away.
The 1st eye doctor diagnosed me with allergies and prescribed me eye drops. It only helped me a little bit but my issues came back a few months later.
The 2nd eye doctor diagnosed me with MGD - Meibomian gland dysfunction which causes dry eyes and similar symptoms. No mater how often I used hydration drops or warm compression to eyes, my symptoms did not totally go away. I had chronic eye pain for 6 month until my 2nd eye doctor forwarded me to a dry eye specialist.
He did a bunch of tests and diagnosed me with Ocular Rosacea which is common if your face blushes during certain situations and certain triggers can make it worse.
He prescribed me 100mg of Doxycycline Hyclate and within 3 weeks, my eyes were back to normal and it has been 6 weeks with no symptoms.
My theory is that this began a few weeks after the birth of my firstborn which I had issues with stress and anxiety. That triggered my Ocular Rosacea. My next bout came after stress and anxiety from the pandemic.
I would suggest that you ask your eye or family doctor about Ocular Rosacea and treatment. I was lucky to find the right doctor to fix my issue.
Good luck!

Hi, I am currently experiencing the same issue. May I ask if you ever found out what the root cause of the problem was? How are your eyes feeling now?
