Hi all

I recently got my eyes checked at the opticians and they found pressure behind my eye and sent me straight to the hospital.the hospital was quick to judge and think the worst case possible. I generally think my pressure is down to mertazapine so started to wean myself off and will go get them checked again.has anyone else experience this

I was on Mirtazapine a number of months ago and noticed blurry vision to the point where I had to get my eyeglass prescription refilled.  I was checked for glaucoma or introcular pressure, but optometrist suggested it was normal.  Not sure blurry vision was attributable to mirtazapine or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

      Hi

I have been on mertazapine for 8 months and my vision has got blurry over the 6 week really bad so I've started weaning myself off the mertazapine in hope to get my eyes sorted

Go easy on the tapering, otherwise you will likely encounter a lot of withdrawal symptoms.  Check out other posts on this site regarding weaning off Mirtazapine.  You should definitely not quit cold turkey especially as you have been on it for 8 months.
