Eye sight worse one week after cataract surgery

hi. I had surgery last week and was amazed how well I could see the next day. At my post opt appointment that day my vision was 20-40 and crisp. I was extremely near sighted so I was thrilled. A few days later I had an eye ache, bad head ache and sick to my stomach. Saw the dr who confirmed my eye pressure was elevated and told me to stop one of my drops that could cause this. Two days later my pressure dropped from 32 to 26 but my vision is now 20-50. The dr said that's because it is still healing. I am quite concerned. Should I be? Thanks!

i can have that membrane removed both doctors and the retina specialist say but that can't be done for a few weeks and so I'll try what I can.
As for the eye pressure it was always in the normal range although a bit higher so you should get relief from the mess for that.
I do have a question though since I'm in the US and believe this forum is primarily in the UK? Am I correct? The meds might be different so I can't comment on them specifically.
goood luck from one Linda to Another.

I've also come across a few people who had problems after surgery and it turned out NONE of them had taken their eyedrops as directed or stayed out of the sun except with sunglasses as directed. My discharge sheet also instructed me to not bend forward, drive a car or lift anything heavy for (I think) two weeks but apparently this advice isn't standard even in Australia, let alone other countries. Personally, I'd rather err on the side of extreme caution than risk vision problems.
