hi. i woke up this morning and all i could see was a broad white colour. it lasted 10 secs. i have been diagnosed with dry eye before. im also diabetic. i had an episode 2 years ago when my eye went blind for 5 secs when i had just turned off my phone in bed in the dark. i was hospitalised then and had lots of checks. carotid artery etc. nothing was found. they said it could have been a clot passing through the blood vessels in the eye. but this morning's episode affected 2 eyes. i read somewhere that I should use dry eye drops at night. any advice welcome. cheers Kevin..

Only seeing white can be caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure. Were you jumping out of bed suddenly? As you have had problems before and you are diabetic, you should get this checked out especially as clots were mentioned before.

I'm guessing your dry eye is not too much of a problem for you but yes all dry eye sufferers should use some sort of dry eye drops before closing their eyes for sleep. It will help the health of your corneas.
