EYES SHANKING BAD. HELP PLEASE

Posted , 4 users are following.

For the past year, I have been experiencing the worst feeling of my life. It usually happens when I have too much sugar. One night I was on my phone, and noticed that my eyes were shaking vertically and horizontally every time I focused on a object, wall, etc. I saw a doctor and it was not an ear problem, they didn't find anything wrong with my brain. They cant even see them shaking. Its all, I guess you could say "internal".  If I have a can of pop or some candy, and try to sleep that night, once I close my eyes, my eyes start to shake. nobody notices it, but I do. when I pop out of bed, and stare at a wall, it starts again, this vertical and horizontal shaking sensation. There is no way to stop the feeling. It almost feels like my eyes and brain are just being shook in a bottle. I've gone so many countless nights without sleep. Please help, or give tips. I appreciate it.

    Hi Marsh,

There clearly isn't anything wrong with your eyes or your brain, or the doctor would have found it. My best advice to you is to avoid sugar, including - and especially - pop! Some people are more sensitive to a sugar rush than others, and it may well be that this is something you'll have to be careful about for the rest of your life.

Refined sugar is at the root of many of the medical problems we face in western countries - everything from high blood pressure through diabetes and even up to cancer. Human beings never evolved to consume this much sugar and it's ruining our health.

I'm afraid you're just one of the people who have to wean themselves off sugar, and especially sugary drinks, as sugar in this form finds its way into the bloodstream much quicker. It won't kill you but it will make you healthier in the long run and will lengthen your life!

sounds like you're experiencing nystagmus of the eyes. You mention the doctor has looked at your brain and ears but have you had a proper eye examination done? Best to see a ophthalmologist or neuro otologist.

Is the movement of your eyes synchronized to your pulse/heartbeat?  Does it happen when your head is still or during motion? Is it a small movement or large movement?
