I've been to numerous Drs, had cat scan of head, MRI an Mrs of head an ultra sound of face nothing shows up. I have bad left side facial pain an have deterioration of fat above my cheek bone. I had a molar removed Jan 2017 an since the novacaine shot in upper cheek is when the deterioarion started , I have a bump on inside of left cheek an it hurts in inside an outside an even down to my jaw. I've been back to dentist twice also to a maxofacial dentist who took about 5 minutes an couldn't find bump but said salivary gland maybe an suck in drops. that don't work. the pain is getting worse daily an no one knows why, I've been to dermatologist, neurologist, ent, plus the dentists an primary. not sure why nothing is showing on any if these testing, had biopsy in May of the skin in area it was fine. the pain takes over an it's hard to function at times. any ideas what could be? I thought going to mayo clinic but I don't even know what kind Dr to ask for.

I don't know whether i can help but i had something similar for years seeing various specialists and at first told i had a stone in the gland and to suck lemon drops in the hope of moving it. In the end it turned out to be a benign tumour in the parotic gland. It had been growing for years. I had it removed and now I'm fine. There is an American site you can look at that is really helpful. I think its under paroticdectomy (not sure if I've spelt that right). I will check and let you know. Jill

I've just checked that site. I think if you stay on this site and put parotidectomy gland it may be helpful. Jill
