Face tingling and numb but just got diagnosed with ear infection

So I'm freaking out I got diagnosed with an ear infection and tonight I was just relaxing and I had a sharp headache kind of pain then my face started to tingle and went numb my ear has been clogged feeling all day but this is really weird I have medical anxiety as well so I'm really scaired of what's going on I have never really had a lot of ear infections so this is kinda new to me

    The main nerve to the face, the facial nerve, is so close to the ear that swelling at your ear can cause a tingle, even sharp pain in your face.

    As your ear infection subsides, so should your facial tingling and numbness.

    So come to find out no infection I have tmj and it sucks so if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated

    TMJ is indeed awful.

    If it is because of arthritis, a rheumatologist can help you.

    Otherwise, ice and limiting how widely you open your mouth and not chewing hard or long.
