facial numbness, headaches, fingers tingling

my wife has had migraines and headaches over the past few years off and on...then she recently has been having a headache almost everyday...These have eased but she has been left with some permanent numbness on both sides of here face ...for a few weeks it would come and go,...now its stays...some tingling in fingers...she has also had light headedness, sometime smells smoke, etc....some mild white matter disease has also been seen on MRI and she has had abnormal, left frontal lobe EEG activity when tested in last year....thoughts? can migraines love someone's face numb for weeks even when there has been no migraine?

Hi. This could be a sign of something serious and I would recommend seeing a primary physician or neurologist for a professional opinion. Keep us posted and let us know if you need anything else.

I would continue to seek medical opinions...Migraines can cause a huge range of symptoms, but with PERMANENT side effects(like the MRI & EEG) there must be an underlying cause....the headaches may be from something else (more likely than headaches CAUSING these MRI & EEG changes) a neurologist or maybe there is an auto-immune disorder....get ANOTHER opinion if you dont get answers(keep a log of symptoms & questions for when you see the next specialist) I wish I could be more helpful, I am available anytime(I have A LOT of medical background, even personally & in my family) but this REALLY needs better diagnosing than bloggers..Best Wishes to you and your wife, message me anytime, Praying for answers?

I suffer from the same thing. It’s a trigger. I do Botox, which helps but started taking high dose CoQ10 & it made a world of difference. I went to a wellness dr. To get a different perspective, my levels of CoQ10 didn’t exist, I’m on cholesterol meds which interfere. All I can say is it helped. Everyone is different but it works on nerves. Give it a shot.
