Factor V Leiden, plasminogen inhibitor and pregnancy?

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with factor V Leiden after having the tests ran on me as a teenager and recently after having a miscarriage, I was diagnosed with plasminogen prohibitor mutation. Which means I’m at a higher risk of early miscarriage. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? How was your experience and journey on conceiving? Thanks in advance

Hi, I find this site a bit pointless sadly because ive not received any replies whatsoever!  sad to say but true, the best person to ask is your own Doctor.

hehe thanks you’re right! I’ve slready spoken to her but I just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with these circumstances, although I highly doubt it. Thank you!

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Jessop Wing, Sheffield, UK. Ask your doctor to refer you to the Jessop wing of this hospital as they specialise in this particular disorder. Even women who have Haemophilia and Von Willebrand's disease also have a greater risk of miscarriage. Hope all goes well with your next pregnancy.
