    Take heart, codyray,

This is soooooo much an anxiety symptom.  I can tell you that many years ago, when suffering anxiety, I told my GP that I felt "I was fading away".  At that time, it was not recognised, but now it is called "De-personalisation/De-realisation."

When you recover from your anxiety, it will go away.  Please do not worry too much, as this makes it worse.

There are many others on this forum who can describe this feeling.  So do not despair.  Best wishes.

I know exactly what you mean, for me I get bad health anxiety which makes me also feel physically I'll, its a very genuine feeling. The depersonalisation is awful I kno, but it really does pass

Hi Codyray, please could you explain this further?? cause i think i know how you feel but im not sure.

Sometimes i feel as though im fading away too. in the sense of my mind feels blurry and my body feels weak and you feel like your whole body is falling apart and you are about to die. and 'fading away' is how i would describe it when im feeling it so its so strange/comforting to hear im not the only one! xx

Yep, I know exactly what that feels like, and the rest of the raft of symptoms that make you think you will never get better!

Everytime I am suffering anxiety my mind seems to forget that I have recovered from previous bouts.

Need to do more than meds now! Need to look deeper into it and learn how to cope mentally as well!

Hello! I'm sorry you're experiencing this too. It's definitely an anxiety symptom as I dealt with anxiety for many years and always felt like I might die one day and I feel like I'm not in my body anymore. It's scary yes. But please know that there is nothing to worry as once you get help to control your anxiety better, it will eventually go away. Socializing is the best option to get your mind off of it as you're most focus with others rather than feeling depressed or over-thinking. The mind is very powerful. I hope the both of us can overcome this too and others who are going through the same experience.
