Failed back surgery

Hi, I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Had two back ops after collapsed disc which went into spinal cord, unfortunately only found two months after accident at work which caused it. So nerve root squashed quite badly. First had metal co-flex then that was replaced with wallis implant. Still in massive amounts of pain, on diazepam, tramadol, dihydrocoedine, paracetamol and gabapentin. I have been looking on the internet and has anyone got experience of epidural fibrosis or arachnoiditis, I don't know if these conditions can be seen on MRI's. I have had MRI's, CT's but nothing shows. Consultant doesn't know what else to suggest. In constant pain, legs give out and I fall, pain radiates down both legs to toes. My injury occurred at L4/5. Thanks for any advice

ask for a nerve test, I have had one, it will tell them if any nerves in your legs have been affected, also a nuclear scan. tbe but little needles in your legs send send small electric currents through, I am supprised they have not sent you for one.

    hope your better soon

    Hi Lynn

Thanks for your reply, I have had a nuclear scan but that was for a hip problem and had the needles nerve test and it didn't show much, just said I had a few little issues but none that would cause the pain i'm in. Would really just like to have the pain diagnosed as something so I could start dealing with whatever this is. Thanks again
