Failed repairs - what now?

Hi All
I had a A & P Repairs with a sacrohysterpoxy 6 weeks ago and i am pretty sure surgery has failed!
Back wall feels nice and firm - bowel movements easy so no issue there but i think my anterior prolapse is back. Everything is lumpy and open and i can feel something when stood up.
For those of you who's repairs failed what happened next? If you needed further surgery how long did you have to wait until you can have it done again? If you had to wait what did you do in the meantime?
I'm gutted but sure it doesn't look right!
Had sex yesterday and it just felt the same as before surgery :-(
Thanks x

you should come back to the GP for an assessment, they usually wait some months before other surgery.
As far as I know the next step would be mesh (if they used stitches) and if the surgery was done vaginally they could do it again laparoscopically. For prolapses that repeat again doctors recommend to pull up everything from the tummy (key hole surgery).
Exercises are a must by the way... and if you don’t use any hormonal cream maybe you could ask your doctor if you’re premenopausial or post.
In my case anterior repair is still holding but posterior repair was not enough for the several things I have (intususpection, enterocele...) and am waiting for a rectopexy. They say that is the best solution when there are so many issues and the previous surgeries have not fixed all the things well.
But please go to your doc who will assess you and recommend what to do now.
Hugs!!!!!

How did you know yours had failed hun? I think i know why mine has failed at 4 weeks post op check everything was healing perfectly but the consultant said i could lift my son (hes one) my hubby then took this as cleared so i ended up doing more with our son than i think i should have done.
Im so gutted! I had surgery through keyhole but whilst sacrohysterpoxy was with mesh but other repairs were stitches.
When did you have your first surgery?

That’s amazing news!! I’m 3 week’s post-op for an A&P repair and I’m so afraid of a failure so I’m happy to hear everything worked out. Excuse my ignorance but...what’s a coil?
