The knee is metal so your chances of damaging it by a fall is remote at best. Can you dislodge it? Yeah...but that would mean your knee taking quite a hit. The chances are that you bruised/sprained tissue and ligaments and that will take some time to go away with NSAIDS (max 10 days) for inflammation plus ice and elevation. A bone bruise is also not out of the question.

If, after 7-10 days you are still in pain, I would go to my orthopedic surgeon for some imaging to see if there is an alignment problem caused by the fall. In four years, I've fallen on my metal knee twice with both events resolving inside a week. Just ease up on it and rest. If it's something more, your ortho can tell you.

I personally not have fallen, yet. I was on vacation with a friend who had bilateral TKR and fell on the cement around the pool, landing on both knees. Other than swelling and tenderness, by the end of the vacation everything had cleared up and she was fine. That was two years ago and she said that she had no ill effects.

Hope you are feeling better soon.
