Usually lasts at least 8-10 weeks for me. Antibiotics are useless. I think that nasal irrigating with warm saline, and taking Sudafed and ibuprofen work best to make me feel better. It's awful, and very hard for anyone to understand the pain, unless they have been through it.

With a chronic sinus infection, I feel exhausted, lightheaded, have pain in my face around the maxillary premolars, and usually post nasal drip (more like a river) and a cough. Mine is all allergy related, but 7 years of allergy injections, didn't seem to help much.

I just was told I have that plus allergies. Mine normally start in september all the way up until early December. Nothing helps me. I was on antibiotics and didn't help. Recently been put on perdsone for Bells Palsy and that helped but a couple weeks later it started getting bad again. I'm now just doing a nasal spray and hopefully it'll start working and taking some pain away.

      Hi

Yes I often feel tired and fatigued. I used to work out regular but just don't seem to have the energy. Today I have a very hot face and a dull ache along my upper jawline plus stuffy nose. So irritating.

I've have chronic sinusitis for 15 years....I believe it's due to dentistry drilling into my teeth and entering the pulp chamber and creating apical periodontitis (in fact I had to have two teeth removed because the apical periodontitis creating an infection in my upper jaw bone and threatening my systemic health). Drilling into the pulp chamber -as in root canal work, allows bacteria to enter the systemic circulation - threatening your our health and wellbeing.  I hope your sinusitis is just the acute version.  The chronic form of sinusitis has many causative factors - dentistry being one of them.

Last night I had a terrible night. My nose completely stuffed up pains in my upper nose and jaws and cheeks. I couldn't sleep on either side as it would set of the pain. MY GP put me on prednisone steroids last week to try and shift it but I'm a bit cautious to take them because of side affects
