When you have lots of different things going on, it is always a complex process to try and unravel things, and normally beyond the scope of a forum like this.

I think I would try and write down your timeline / history of what you have suffered, with the medications, and then ask for a session with your GP to review where you are and what the priorities should be.   Sometimes the side effects of medication can cause problems, so it might be an idea to look those up on the advice leaflet in the packet.   Also any patterns of when you feel worse than others.

Thank you for the reply, I have been to doctors for years, and they just keep putting me on antidepressants and sending me for councilling, no anti depressants have worked,

i am just in the process of doing everything you have mentioned, my gp wants me to cut the antidepressants in half that may stop the sweating and headache, they are so painful all down the left side of my head ear eye neck, shoulder,  and the buzzing its I keep mentioning it to my gp she doesn't seem overly concerned.

Alan's ideas are very sound regarding writting down a time line of symptoms. I feel he is also correct in that you have multiple issues with multiple symptoms and they will probably overlap and mimic to a degree. Medication certainly can give rise to additional symptoms and may well, in some instances, be the culprit! An unravelling process is essential.

TSH = Tyroid Stimulating Hormone - This refers to the homone the pituitory gland in the brain is producing to kick start a struggling thyroid gland. The higher the level, the higher the gland is having to stimulate the thyroid. It stands to reason therefore, that is hypothroidism (thyroid levels too low) this level will be above the norm which is around 3 to 4.5

T4 = This is the thyroid protiens being bound together and again is a indicated as to how much the thyroid is struggling. Normal levels between 10 and 24. Yours are fine.

The top and bottom of it is that whilst your thyroid is struggling, the replacement thyroid you are taking in the form of levothyroxine is doing it's job. However, it is a very fine balancing act to get the levels right and not send you into hyperthyroidism instead - where you have too much thyroid in your system. You will have regular bloods tests to ensure your levels are correct.

Sertraline is certainly responsible for many of the side effects you mention and lowering the dose is good practice. The tremors, sweats, palpitations, headaches, pressure etc could be. However, just to muddy the waters, the menopause also can create these!

You really need to unravel specific symptoms and I do feel your own GP is the best person to speak to about this. Book a half hour appointment and go armed with notes and questions.

    Good Luck x

Thanks Carol does the TSH range not really make a differecnce then if it is under the range.

yes also menopause, can't take hrt so on ADS and sage multi vitamins, I feel like I am losing the plot one day I'm ok the next day I'm hyper or my heart beats so hard and fast it's awful.

all my problems are hormone related unfortunately.

      My name is also carol.

Beneath the range would suggest hyperthyroidism, where you have too much thyroid in your system. This is not due to your thyroid suddenly recovering or something - it is unlikely to do that. But is indicitive of too high a dose levothyroxine. That is why you feel hyper and 'wired'.... reducing the dose and monitoring your levels will eventually enable them to get the dose right.

I thought it was, I read up about it, my gp wasn't to concerned because my t4 is ok, well I. Going to lower to 50, 4 years and I have never felt any differant, some days are better than others depends on what time of the month, I am wondering if the sertraline is interferring with it, not a good day today, very anxious and panicky, the buzzing in my head is driving me mad and the sweating, it really hurts my head, odd.

Hi, The feeling of stuck in your throat could be the Globus Sensation, it's a conversion disorder. When you have all of these symptoms you can't help but worry and be anxious.I am with you and there are days when it seems like it would be hopeless.Try to do some relaxation..listening to relaxing music ,I also lighted some scented candles ,and take a  book in my bath tub which is just sitting there waiting for me, come to think of it when was the last time I had a time for myself? And for a moment I felt peace.I also used eucalptus oil in a burner.somehow it helped me.what your mind conceive your body can achieve. Talk to your body you have the power to control it. Our body has its own healing mechanisms.Have a peaceful day smile

Thanks for the reply, I have tried everything you mentioned, no use it works for about 10 mins then it all comes back, I have tried tea, oils, music whale noise talking to people, it's just a constant battle at the moment again, try to keep busy that doesn't help either, feel like my body is rotting from inside, bits going wrong all the time.

on the bad days I can't get out of the house the panic and anxiety are that bad, 😡😰

Been up all night sweating, and now freezing cold, I think my internal central heating broke, dropped thyroxine to 50, now I'm icy cold, take sertraline at night and it's like sleeping in a bath of hot water, don't seen to be able to get levels right, don't know if it's meno, thyroid, tablets stopping other tablets from working.

      😡😜
