Fast heart rate all the time

Hey hey. This is quite a common symptom of anxiety, but I was hoping to get some reassurance or shared experiences with extremely fast heart rates with anxiety. Lately, mine seems to be going fast all the time, to the point I'm too scared to stand up for more than a little bit in case it speeds up my heart even more and causes problems like a heart attack or something. I'm only nineteen and I have a history of good health, no heart troubles to speak of, but I can't help but worry. Anyone else got this issue, too?

I am so sorry for anyone going through this. Your going through a vicious cycle. The best way to overcome it is not to focus on it. I know that is difficult but the change in behavior regarding the issue in turn will eventually calm the brain. CHECK WITH THE DOCTOR AND MAKE SURE YOUR HEALTHY (no physical diagnosis for your rapid heartbeat). After you confirmed your health status as negative tell yourself that you refuse to check by ANY and ALL means your heart rate for at least a week and DO NOT CHECK. NOT EVEN ONCE. Keep repeating to your self. "My heart is healthy. Checking is harmful." Do not let doubt sabotage your efforts. Doubt is a best friend of anxiety. I know how hard it is. Hugs and wishing you the very best.
