fast normal heart beat after skipped beats

Hi Folks,

I hope everyone is doing well!

Is it normal to have sinus tachycardia (fast normal heart beat) after skipped beats? I also get this weird scary sensation where it felt like someone shocked my heart and took my breath away and followed by this sinus tachycardia (fast normal heart beat), I mostly get it when masturbating, my cardiologist told me it's just a skipped beats and could be related to my high cholesterol levels , my 2D echo gram and ECG came out normal. Has someone here experienced this? Could this be a sign that my heart is weak and I need some exercise? Please advise, thank you!!

I'm having very similar issues at the moment. The shocking sensation you get may also be from skipped heart beats, because I have a similar thing happen where I have 2 quick heart beats that feel really weird and can sort of take my breath away sometimes. My problem is, now these skipped heart beats ( I think it's PCVs ) will happen in repetition, and not just a few times, but sometimes for as long as 30 seconds to a minute. It's really scary to me because at time, it doesn't seem like my heart rate will return to a normal rhythm. I have an appointment with my cardiologist in a few weeks, but I may see somebody sooner. I'll let you know if I find anything out, maybe it will be helpful for you. Let me know if you find out anything as well, hopefully everything is alright.
