Fatigue after bronchitis? Very scared

I’m a healthy 21 year old female, don’t smoke, never even had the flu. About a month ago I caught a virus from a friend of mine. It got significantly worse after about a week; I was wheezing, coughing, would wake up throughout the night unable to breathe, etc. I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and that went away after another 3 weeks or so. What is concerning to me is that the day my bronchitis symptoms seemed to subside an EXTREME fatigue kicked in. I hadn’t really been tired the whole time I was sick but ever since my chest went back to normal it’s been a struggle to get out of bed. I feel kind of out of it and my legs occasionally feel heavy. It doesn’t matter how much I sleep I am still tired when I wake up. It’s been a week now since this fatigue has set in and it’s honestly horrible. I have extreme anxiety and hypochondria so this has been a nightmare for me. My doctor said this is normal since the immune system needs to recover but I am just so worried. Is this normal? Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Drink some vitamin c. Maybe some cranberry juice it's good for your kidneys. But it needs to be 100% juice.

    Hi,

Bronchitis is a serious illness that can usually be handled by the immune system, especially if your young and fit. However it takes months to fully recover and you could feel drained of energy for several more weeks. Healthy eating and drinking will help your body recover, don't overdo it physically.

    Mike.
