I am 36 years old and had my first baby 13 months ago. Since then, I have been dealing with issues with no answers. I feel like I am 90 years old. I am falling asleep driving, falling asleep at work and in pain all of the time. I felt better when I was pregnant....
Symptoms:
Always very cold- not just feeling cold, but face, feet, hands cold to touch
Always tired- caffeine (even a lot) has no effect; I feel fatigued no matter how much or how little sleep I get.
Frequent headaches- most times taking as much as 4 BC powders/Excedrin Migraine does nothing. Prescription helps about 70%
Achy/sore all over; not just knees, etc. It is the feeling when you are about to get a cold/flu and every muscle in your body hurts.
Feel physically exhausted just from small exertion like lifting my baby onto changing table
Sometimes it feels like my heart is racing and going to beat out of my chest. I can sometimes even visibly see my pulse in my belly or see my shirt moving with each beat.
It often feels like I cannot get a full breath.
No wt. loss when decreasing amount of food/calorie intake
Dry eyes, dry mouth
Sore throat that comes and goes. Small hard lump under skin near jawline on right side
Constant sinus issues- Flonase and Zyrtec has helped though
My primary care doc recommends a sleep study for the fatigue and muscle aches- I am absolutely certain it is more than that. I do not snore, kick, etc. They think my heart is because of my anxiety. This is different than what my anxiety feels like.
Labwork:
Lyme negative
CBC/chem/Vitamin B & D, etc. normal
Lipid panel normal except for HDL chol. slightly lower than normal ref. range
Consistently elevated Alk Phos that slowly continues to creep up
Alk Phos Isoenzymes- 76% liver fraction but GGT and other liver values normal.
Elevated Creatine Kinase Total- 289; reference range 32-182
Positive ANA. Then negative. Then positive again.
Autoimmune workup at rheumatologist- everything was negative.
Testosterone serum low at 9; reference range 8-60
Free T4 low normal at 0.83; reference range 0.82-1.77 . TSH 1.250; reference range 0.450-4.500. Free T3 2.6; reference range 2.0-4.4
Complement C3 & C4 on high end of normal
FSH 4.1
Estradiol 43.7
Help! LOL 😉 I feel like my body is attacking me from the inside out.
I am desperate to get some answers and to feel better. I have an appointment with endocrinology in July and still waiting on an appointment with neurology- they are booked out months in advance.
Thank you and sorry for the novel.
