Fatty Liver

Abnormal liver results ive had an ultrasound which shows fatty liver and now I have got to have a biopsy. I spoke to consultant on Friday who is arranging the biopsy she has no idea why my enzymes are rising, ive had bloods taken for PBC and Hepatitis and they as far are fine. im worried sick and now not sleeping. I  have had CT scans on my pancreas, gallbladder and spleen and a colonoscopy on unrelated issues and all the scans were fine apart from diverticulitis which im coping with. I do have lupus and sjogrens

    Why are you having a biopsy done when the ultrasound shows fatty liver? Biopsies are usually done if the Doctor seems some sort of lesion/scarring/injury on the outside of the liver. Also what are your enzymes at right now.

      I've had ultrasound confirming fatty liver enzymes are rising all the time l have autoimmune illnesses and consultant wants to see how fatty my liver is had loads of blood tests including one for pbc which was negative.
