Hi Helen,
No need to worry! As you will end up with anxiety or depression constantly thinking about it. A fatty liver can be daunting when your first diagnosed but it is actually quite a common liver condition in this day and age with our fast paced stressful lives we lead and what we cram into our mouths when we are on the run but it can be reversed by modifying your diet ! Have a look into liver cleansing diets/detox and get off any toxic substances you are putting into your body eg. Junk food, sodas, alcohol, smoking or any recreational drugs as these will affect your liver, remember your liver is one of the most important organs in your body which is responsible for processing and filtering all toxins in the blood that passes through it along with other important functions. So it is important to look after it ! And trust me you will have so much more energy and spring in your step if you follow a healthy LCD you will be feeling a lot better in no time and will reverse any further damage you are doing to your liver,I hope that gives you some inspiration
Cheers Jamie

I understand the pain- I have it too. RUQ pain that sometimes goes to my back. I was diagnosed with NAFLD with fibrosis stage 4- 3 years ago. The diagnosis was done by biopsy, my family physician didn't really seem too worried and never followed up. Recently I switched doctors and as I was telling my new doctor all of my symptoms he knew right away my NAFLD had progressed. I am currently waiting to see a specialist.
Anyway, as I ramble on, my post to you was to say, I understand the pain and the stressing but pain isn't a sign of cancer. I firmly believe fatty liver is painful. Do some research, change your diet and exercise I promise that will help. I am no expert but the research I have done states that will help.

Im so sorry that this thought that you might have cancer is just haunting you I would try to remember that the liver is one of our friendliest organs in our body, it has the ability to regenerate itself and even if there would be cancer, did you know that part of the liver could be removed and it can regenerate itself if taken care of right? I would get the necessary tests taken and just try to remember that while waiting for the results. And even if it would show cancer its not a death sentance for you. Try to take it day by day, even moment by moment for now and know that your liver can repair itself and there are other things that can help you. You might also try getting on some anti-depressents to help you cope if its overbearing right now, just long enough to bring up the Seratonin Levels so that it can make it easier to cope. All the best and try not to worry. I have bad chronic daily pain too but the tests arent pointing that I have any cancer, so the bad pain doesnt always mean it is.
